About
Bradley Kimberley Durack 25-11-1978 Photography wasn't a life chose for Brad, it chose him. A carpenter by trade, Brad has had success in various industries ranging from sales and marketing, hospitality and numerous sections of the building industry. Having finished his carpentry apprenticeship straight after school, it wasn't until later in life that Brad realized his true passion for photography. It all began with his interest in technology. Even before buying his first laptop, he always had an interest in the latest gadget's and gizmo's. He purchased his first camera in Melbourne in 2005 whilst working as an advertising executive, point and shoot photography quickly became a hobby .Through study and research on the internet, Brad decided to start a new business in 2006. Armed with information and technology, Brad acquired a pole from Germany, various technologies from UK, America and Hong Kong and developed his first aerial photography system. Durack Images was founded on the niche market of "Pole Aerial Photography" and "Virtual Tours". Relatively new concepts to Australia, Brad could see a market in Western Australia. The business wasn't based on Brad having photography experience, rather having the latest equipment, web skills and the best camera technology. The key market was the real estate industry, another passion of Brad's. Whilst shooting 70ft in the air, the key objective was to get unique images for marketing rather than a focus on the artistic side of photography. After all the camera equipment available on the market could produce professional images shooting on automatic, a feature needed for aerial photography and it provided more than enough image quality for its intended use, Real Estate marketing. As a result, Brad learnt photography backwards. Not from the ground, from the 70 feet above it. This was an invaluable learning curve as he quickly developed skills photographing in natural light and grasped angles on the job in day to day situations. The business was huge a success. It was during this time, that Brad found his true passion for photography. Having access to high quality camera equipment helped fuel Brads desire to learn more and master the true art of photography. One year later, Brad was to broaden his horizons. Through his good friend Mawgan Goode, an opportunity arose to photograph FHM girl next door and international model Siobhon Pareke. Having literally studied portrait photography on google the night before, Brad used his strengths (knowledge of location and light) and performed an amazing photo shoot. His first very first portraiture work was highly regarded amongst his peers. Even though his technical photographic skills were still developing, it became clear that Brad had a real eye for the aesthetic and natural talent. The trend continued when Brad performed his first wedding, and over the years Brad has developed into a highly skilled and professional photographer. "My goal as a photographer is to truly capture the moment. I strive to get angles that others haven't thought of, or simply just cant physically get. I particularly love portraiture work, I believe that by connecting and understanding my subjects, I can capture truly unique images and show someone in there best light" Brads advertising and marketing background also gives him an edge. His understanding of "what people want" and an eye for beauty give him an advantage when working on behalf of a client. "whether i am photographing a resort, a house for sale, a model or even a product, Its much more than just a job to me. Its a challenge to truly show anything in its best light. You have one chance to impress with a photograph so its worthwhile to have the very best, particularly when investing in marketing"
